What is RoHS?

The Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive is one of the most important global regulations for electronic and electrical equipment (EEE). Its purpose is to reduce the environmental impact of electronics by restricting the use of specific harmful substances.

Core Principle: RoHS limits the concentration of 10 hazardous substances in homogeneous materials.
Global Reach: While it originated in the EU, similar regulations now exist worldwide, including China RoHS, UK RoHS, California Prop 65, and others. For manufacturers, compliance has become an essential step in accessing global markets.
